Product Information

PAW HepatoAdvanced for Medium & Large Dogs is a concentrated antioxidant supplement that supports liver health and helps manage compromised liver biomarkers. Each film coated chewable tablet combines SAMe, silybin and vitamin E, including clinically trialled Siliphos, to help detoxify and protect the liver. It is a once daily tablet available exclusively through veterinary clinics.

Health Benefits

  • Supports the liver's own antioxidant supply: supports the production of glutathione, a key antioxidant for liver function
  • Supports natural detoxification: SAMe, silybin and vitamin E are antioxidants which provide detoxification support for the liver
  • Helps offset medication related liver stress: may protect against the negative effects on the liver caused by some medications
  • Support during acute liver toxicity: formulated to support pets with acute liver toxicity, alongside the treatment plan your vet sets
  • Supports brain health in dogs: a secondary benefit of the antioxidant blend, useful for dogs as they age
  • Easy once daily dosing: a new and improved film coated chewable tablet in a pink fish flavour, and it can be broken in half to ease administration
  • Developed by vets, Australian made: made in Australia to the PAW formulation, inspired by nature

PAW HepatoAdvanced for Medium & Large Dogs is a vet developed liver support supplement in our dog health range that gives bigger dogs daily antioxidant support for the liver.

What It's Used For

  • Compromised liver biomarkers: concentrated antioxidant support for dogs whose liver results need attention, to help manage compromised liver biomarkers. Dr Jane Miller's guide to liver disease in dogs covers what those results can mean.
  • Everyday liver detoxification: promotes natural liver detoxification, the process the liver uses to clear waste and toxins
  • Medication related liver stress: helps protect against the negative effects on the liver caused by certain medications
  • Acute liver toxicity: supports pets with acute liver toxicity as part of a plan directed by your veterinarian
  • Brain health in ageing dogs: supports brain health in dogs, a secondary benefit of the antioxidant blend

Why Dr Jane Miller Recommends It

“When a dog's liver results need attention, the priority is steady antioxidant support while your vet works through the cause. PAW HepatoAdvanced brings together the three actives I look for in liver support: SAMe to support glutathione production, silybin as clinically trialled Siliphos, and vitamin E. For most medium and large dogs that is a single tablet once a day, which makes it realistic to keep up over months rather than weeks. Give it on an empty stomach at least an hour before food, and have your vet set the dose and the duration.”

Frequently Asked Questions

Give the tablet or tablets once a day on an empty stomach, at least one hour before food. The tablet may be broken in half to ease administration, but it must not be crushed, as it is a film coated chewable tablet. The tablet carries a pink fish flavouring, which helps with acceptance. Dosing is by body weight: half a tablet for dogs 10 kg to 14.9 kg, one tablet for 15 kg to 29.9 kg, and two tablets for 30 kg to 59.9 kg.

PAW HepatoAdvanced may protect against the negative effects on the liver caused by some medications, so it is often given to dogs already on other treatment. There are two precautions to raise with your vet first. Concurrent use with behavioural medication may cause additive serotonergic effects, meaning the combined effect on serotonin levels may be greater than expected. Use with caution in pregnant or lactating animals, as safe use has not been established in this population.
