Oxbow Critical Care® is a premium recovery food which can be given to herbivorous mammals or reptiles that are unwilling to eat their normal diet due to illness, surgery or poor nutritional status. This specially formulated product contains all the essential nutrients of a complete diet as well as high-fibre timothy hay to ensure proper gut physiology and digestion.
Use of this product under veterinary supervision is recommended. Consult your veterinarian for feeding advice or if you are concerned about the condition of your pet.

My rabbits love oxbow critical care, in particular the apple and banana one. I have been using it to help a rabbit who has dental issues and it has helped keep her fibre intake adequate and helped her maintain a good weight. I will always make sure I have some.

Unlike the generic 'crittacare' we had been buying, this one is more expensive, but also has a nice fruity smell. It has a great texture which mixes really well, and allows making a thick paste for eating off a plate, or a thinner solution for syringe-feeding.
