My Dalmatian is on this food as requested by the Vet and thankfully he loves it!

This food helps manage my Dal’s nutrition so he does not have reoccurring urate stones develop.

    Hills UD dry dog food

My problem fur baby loves the food but the feeding requirements on the packet seem to be out of whack. If you’re new to feeding this food please monitor your babies weight as I’m feeding mine almost twice what is recommended and he’s still not putting on any weight.

Great product & piece of mind

Hills Prescription UD food has been brilliant for us with both our previous Dalmatian & our current one.

We know we are getting exactly what we NEED & what is advertised, with the additional confidence of it being Vet recommended/ prescribed.

Frequently Asked Questions

Just like people, eating amounts vary from pet to pet. Most Hill's pet foods have a feeding guide on the package to help you determine the proper amount to feed your pet. Please keep in mind that the feeding guide is intended only as a starting point, and you should follow your veterinarian’s recommendation based on your pet's specific health needs.

In this situation, we suggest following one or more of the tips below to encourage your pet to eat.

  • If you are starting to feed your pet a new food, a gradual transition from the current food to a new food helps wean your pet from one food to another.
  • For dogs, allow 10-20 minutes for your dog to eat, then remove the remaining food and wait to feed your dog until his next meal.
  • If you are feeding dry pet food, try hand-feeding the kibble from your hand in small portions for the first few feedings, like a treat.

Bags of dry Science Diet®, Science Diet VetEssentials and Prescription Diet® dog food should be stored in a cool, dry environment under 38°C (100°F)? This is to prevent destruction of vitamins and oxidation of fats leading to rancidity. Pet foods will retain their best flavor if stored in the original bag, which provides a fat barrier. Storage at temperatures of 48°C (120°F) for more than 48 hours can accelerate the normal degradation or destruction of the vitamins.
