Why do we recommend Parrot B-Calm?

Parrot B-Calm contains ingredients L-tryptophan, thiamine and turmeric.

L-Tryptophan is a natural pre-cursor for the synthesis of serotonin in the body. Serotonin is the key hormone that stabilizes mood, feelings of well-being, and happiness.

Thiamine is an essential vitamin that is not synthesized in the body. Therefore, it must be absorbed from food sources. Thiamine plays a large part in the function of the nervous system, as well as in the metabolism of energy in the body.

Turmeric contains curcumin, this is a plant derived product that has anti-inflammatory properties as well as being a stimulator for the release of dopamine and serotonin–two hormones that stabilise mood. Curcumin also enhances the synthesis of DHA and Glutathione which play important roles in the health of the brain

Feeding Guide and Directions

Parrot B-Calm is designed to be fed at a rate of 80% of your parrots total diet, with the remaining 20% to be primarily fresh fruit and vegetables to provide variety and enrichment.
