Ask your veterinarian for specific feeding instructions for your pet. Daily Feeding Recommendations are only a guide and a place to start. Grams are the most accurate form of measurement; cups are estimated from grams. New to this food? Mix increasing amounts of your pet's new food with decreasing amounts of the old food for 7 days or more. Keep fresh water available at all times! Your pet's nutritional needs may change as they age. Ask your vet at every checkup.

    Life saver

This food has been a life saver for our elderly Burmese with serious constipation issues. Yes it’s expensive but nothing compared to the vet bills we were clocking up. Our vet recommended this food as it’s lower residue. Our cat loves it and we are able to add his meds to it with no problem - he eats the lot!

    I. D. Digestive Care

My cat was prescribed Biome Diet for his issues by his vet, but since we’ve had a lot of trouble finding a stockist for that, it was suggested the ID would be a good alternative. Very glad we did because my cat was not overly thrilled with the Biome before, but seems to really like this ID Digestive Care. So a thumbs up from me and a ‘paws up’ from him!

This product sustains my beautiful cat (who has a GI disorder) in perfect health. She is 4 years old now and has been thriving on this diet.

At her recent annual Vet check, the Vet said she is in beautiful condition. Her coat is really glossy, her eyes are bright, she is active and content and has excellent heart health.

    I could not be happier!

Frequently Asked Questions

Opened cans of Science Diet®, Science Diet VetEssentials or Prescription Diet® cat of food should be stored in the fridge to retain moisture, minimize exposure to air and reduce transfer of odors to other food. The best way to store opened cans of cat or dog food is to use a plastic pet food lid that fits the top of the can to prevent moisture loss and transfer of odors. If a plastic lid is not available, plastic wrap also provides a very good moisture, air and odor barrier. Zip-to-close bags provide good moisture barriers but do not provide good oxygen and odor barriers.

We do not recommend feeding people food or table scraps. Veterinarians strongly believe that feeding pets table scraps or "people" food can lead to excesses or deficiencies of nutrients in your pet's nutrition which over time may lead to health problems for your pet (like obesity). Feeding table scraps or “people” food can also result in a more finicky pet.

Just like people, eating amounts vary from pet to pet. Most Hill's pet foods have a feeding guide on the package to help you determine the proper amount to feed your pet. Please keep in mind that the feeding guide is intended only as a starting point, and you should follow your veterinarian’s recommendation based on your pet's specific health needs.
