Royal Canin® Urinary S/O is a veterinary exclusive dry food specially formulated for adult cats with urinary health concerns. By helping to increase the amount of urine your cat produces, this specialised diet helps dilute excess minerals that can cause crystals and stones. Relative Super Saturation (RSS) methodology is used to help lower ion concentration in urine, which contributes to stone formation. With a reduced level of magnesium, this unique nutrition helps dissolve pure struvite stones and helps prevent calcium oxalate stones from forming. Mix with your cat’s complementary Royal Canin® Urinary S/O Wet Cat Food to give it a texture that pleases even the fussiest eater.

It may be expensive to purchase, but works out to be very economical when fed according to directions. My cat loves this dry food and it really does keep the vet bills down. If I scrimp and buy the cheaper food, his urinary issues reappear and off to the vet we go. Royal Canin S/O is like insurance for our cat!

I am thrilled with my purchase of Vet recommended cat food. I live in a regional area of South Australia 380 Kms from Adelaide. I can purchase the cat food locally but I saved $60 by purchasing it from Vets Love Pets. It was delivered by carrier to my door. It did take 8 days from day of order but as long as I plan ahead that should not be a problem.

Frequently Asked Questions
Dry diets should be stored in their original bags and resealed between feeding. Most small bags include a re-sealable zipper. If the bag does not have this feature, it’s recommended to keep the product in the original bag and store in a dry, airtight plastic or steel container with a lid.
For dry diets, palatability of the kibble remains at its best for one month after the bag is opened, however will be fine for up to two months so long as the bag is stored properly, in a cool, dry, airtight container.
Introducing your pet onto a new diet should done gradually over 5 - 7 days to avoid the possibility of digestive upset. We suggest:
Mix 25% of your new diet with 75% of your pet’s previous diet for 2 or 3 days
Then mix the two diets 50% and 50% for 2 or 3 days
Then mix 75% of the new diet with 25% of the previous diet for 2 or 3 days
You can now try feeding with 100% of the new diet.
This guide is also useful for an easy transition of the same product from current bag to new bag.
