    Literally saved our Pug's life

Our pug developed a permanent condition where any consumption of meat protein resulted in Protein-losing enteropathy (PLE). Virtually every other dog food has meat protein. After about 2 weeks at the vet, multiple blood infusions, and about $10k in bills, a specialist recommended a strict diet of Purina Pro Plan HA. Her condition improved within days and she regained her normal life (albeit one without meat). Without a doubt, she would have died without this special diet. And now her half-sister has developed the same condition, but this time around we knew exactly what to do. So most likely this food has saved the lives of both of our pugs. Thanks Purina.

Purina Pro Plan Veterinary Hydrolysed canine dry dog food

He had diarrhoea and vet recommended this but it caused him to be significantly constipated. I have returned the item via instructions given and am currently awaiting a refund. When received I will purchase a different product - Hills digestive??

    Best food for sensitive stomach

This is the only dry food my dog can eat without having stomach issues. It would be great if there was a larger size as the 7.48kg doesn’t last my Golden Retriever very long.

    Seems great

I've had my cattle dog X on this for a few weeks now, after transitioning him off Big Dog kangaroo patties. He was doing so 5-10 poos a day (!) which apparently means diarrhea for dogs, even though not runny (sorry for TMI, but may be helpful for some). Now only doing a couple a day and tummy seems much happier. He also seems happier overall, more energetic and playful, but I also started him on some natural supplements (probiotics and skin health) which may be having an impact too. He seemed a little constipated at first, so perhaps I didn't transition him slowly enough or it's just the change to dry food again. I also give him a bit of Prime100 croc & tapioca roll so he has some wet food each day. Apparently altogether this still constitutes an elimination diet. Only 4 stars as it's pricey, and as it's early days still. But overall, very happy with the difference in my pooch.
