Bravecto Spot-On is indicated for the treatment of flea and tick infestations in cats. The single dose spot-on solution offers long-lasting effect against parasites for up to 3 months. It consistently kills fleas and paralysis ticks for 12 weeks and controls further parasitic infestations. Bravecto Topical Solution for Cats also kills American dog ticks for 8 weeks.

Bravecto Spot-on provides effective treatment and prevention of fleas on cats for up to 3 months following application. Fleas are killed in up to 12 hours after treatment or after reinfestation during the 3 month treatment period. The flea life cycle can be broken by the rapid onset of action and the long-lasting efficacy against adult fleas on the cat. Newly emerged adult fleas on a cat are killed before viable eggs are produced.

Bravecto Spot On Provides

Treatment and prevention of flea (Ctenocephalides felis) infestations for up to 3 months.
Treatment and control of paralysis tick (Ixodes holocyclus) for 3 months.

Indications

Bravecto Plus is indicated for the prevention of heartworm disease caused by Dirofilaria immitis and for the treatment of infections with intestinal roundworm (Toxocara cati; 4th stage larvae, immature adults and adults) and hookworm (Ancylostoma tubaeforme; 4th stage larvae, immature adults and adults). Bravecto Plus kills adult fleas and is indicated for the treatment and prevention of flea infestations (Ctenocephalides felis) and the treatment and control of tick infestations [Ixodes scapularis (black-legged tick) and Dermacentor variabilis (American dog tick) and Haemaphysalis longicornis (Asian longhorned tick)] for 2 months in cats and kittens 6 months of age and older and weighing 2.6 lb or greater.


Contraindications

Bravecto Spot-on must not be used in cases of hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients.


Precautions

Bravecto Spot-on should not be used on kittens less than 9 weeks of age or cats weighing less than 1.2 kg.


Dosage and Administration

Bravecto Plus should be administered topically as a single dose every 2 months according to the Dosage Schedule below to provide a minimum dose of 18.2 mg/lb (40 mg/kg) fluralaner and 0.9 mg/lb (2 mg/kg) moxidectin.

For prevention of heartworm disease, Bravecto Plus should be administered at 2-month intervals. Bravecto Plus may be administered year-round without interruption or at a minimum should be administered at 2-month intervals beginning at the cat’s first seasonal exposure to mosquitoes and continuing until the cat’s last seasonal exposure to mosquitoes. If a dose is missed and a 2-month interval between doses is exceeded, administer Bravecto Plus immediately and resume the dosing every 2 months.

When replacing a monthly heartworm preventative product, the first dose of Bravecto Plus should be given within one month of the last dose of the former medication.


Cats over 27.5 lb should be administered the appropriate combination of tubes.


Treatment Schedule

For optimal control of paralysis tick and flea infestation, the product should be administered at intervals of 3 months.
Bravecto Spot-on can be used year round.
The cat’s coat over the treatment application site may appear damp, greasy and mildly clumped.
Bravecto Spot-on should not be administered at intervals shorter than 8 weeks as the safety for shorter intervals has not been tested.


Storage and Disposal

Store below 30°C (room temperature). The pipettes should be kept in the sachets to prevent solvent loss or moisture uptake. The sachets should only be opened immediately prior to use.
Dispose immediately of empty pipette, sachet and carton by wrapping in paper and putting in garbage.

Remove Bravecto from its child-safe packaging.
Hold the tubestraight up, and give the cap one twist to break the seal. (Please do not attempt to remove the cap as it does not come off )
Ensure the animal's back is horizontal. Part the hair and apply directly to the skin.
